As we traveled in 80 degree F. weather, March 11, I realized I have never blogged our ordinary, typical desert skies. So, with my sport setting I captured skies I have treasured all my life as a native Arizonan. (of course my treasured desert skies always blend with the saguaro cactus.)

August Sunset on the Bush Highway

This is the beautiful sunset seen when arriving in the valley after going through a harrowing rain storm from Payson to Sunflower. Later that evening the storm arrived in Gilbert where we were so glad to be safely inside our home. 

Arizona Highway 89A

Highway 89A East of Jacob's Lake is a delightful scenic route and worth the time to stop and enjoy the views of the mountains, rocks, canyons and skies - and maybe stop along the way and buy jewelry created by the native American Indians.

Valley of the Sun Sunset June 2010

It's the season for spectacular Arizona sunsets in the Phoenix area. 

This one is taken from my balcony in Gilbert.

Though it looks stormy, the heat is actually very dry at approximate 110 degrees F.

Hooray for air conditioned homes and cars!
