For a transplanted desert rat, this snow storm (10 inches so far) is formidable. We are on our 2nd day of being housebound as roads and highways are only available to vehicles with chains or 4 wheel drive. Thankfully we stocked up with groceries on Saturday as the storm came in that night.
The skies are mostly gray - yesterday snow flurries all day - but today a bit of sunshine found a cheerful path, creating a magical and isolated kingdom of imaginary creatures. (We actually found animal footprints leading from our gazebo in the front yard to the car shed in the back yard. Marty says it looked like a fox tramped through the yard).
